This year’s “Platinum Pin-back Award for Button Excellence”, the highest honor given during the Golden Button Awards, goes to the Poetry Foundation. Not only are the folks at the Poetry Foundation one of Busy Beaver‘s oldest clients—they’ve been ordering their famous Eric Gill Pegasus buttons from us for almost a decade— they are also some of the most innovative.
Their 2011 button orders definitely proved that they’re willing to try new things and new ways of utilizing buttons. The Poetry Foundation was one of the first customers to take advantage of our new cosmic effect buttons, and they also created an interactive series of custom buttons to support the launch of their new poetry iPhone app. Take a look:

Doesn’t it seem there’s a revivial in poetry? Not so much with the poets, but with the readers and the listeners? It seems to me that there’s a greater audience now in place to appreciate the art.
