Nerfect‘s Mr. Britton Walters is the creator of a colorful cast of characters and wares, including about a million button designs. Mr. Walters has been making buttons with Busy Beaver since we were just a little Beaver kitten of a company and he’s got a seemingly endless supply of criminal hot dogs, well-trained pugs and geometric monsters to grace the face of a 1 inch round.
Mr. Walters explained that as his line of products has grown, buttons are the one product that he can always count on a new store being willing to try out. He also uses buttons to test out designs and concepts in small runs; ones that work well as buttons can then be translated into other products like t-shirts. He explained that “business cards and flyers get tossed, but people tend to hang on to a well-designed button.” Plus, since his work is very character-driven, “it is always fun to slip one of these buttons onto fairly normal duds, and just know that you have this crazy little character traveling around with you.”

He concedes, “Okay, okay, I’ll admit it. Buttons are just plain fun!” No arguments from us on that one, Mr. Walters.
