For this edition of Inside the Beaver Dam, our occasional series about life inside Busy Beaver headquarters, we’ve got a glimpse into the collections that have accumulated around our button pressing stations.

Orders come down the line at Busy Beaver and are pressed by one of a dozen or so quick-fingered pressers who turn metal parts and paper circles into brand new finished buttons. Since our pressers often use the same stations from day to day, they become a bit like an office cubicle with personal touches hanging from the walls. In addition to the tools and supplies of the button-making process, the pressing stations also become a place to collect favorite customer designs, buttons we’ve made around the office and other ephemera.

Look closely. Did you notice:

- Zombie Mary Tyler Moore?

- A Shawnimals ninja?

- Mr. Willie Nelson

- Our 2012 calendar (if you ordered in January, you might have one of your own!)

- Busy Beaver’s own production manager Joel Carter (hint: he shares a birthday with Mark Twain)
