We’ve written before about the many cool intersections between the comics and button worlds– Neil Brideau 2″ square buttons that transformed comics panels into wearable works of art and Andrea Bell‘s meta “buttons on buttons” design for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, not to mention the button mini comics we made for the 2013 Chicago Alternative Comics Expo. Needless to say, we’re always excited to see new ways of combining buttons and comics, so KC Green‘s recent order for display packs definitely caught our eye.
Gunshow is a weekly web comic featuring a cast of characters that includes the likes of talking frogs, unhelpful sales people and lizards who complain about paying their taxes. The button packs feature moments from the comics archives selected, KC said, based on the “recent comics that made me laugh,” and the back of the pack even features a button-themed comic.
KC said, “People who read the comic will like ’em, or random people might like a button of a Bugs Bunny knockoff saying ‘The Bible.” I know I would.”
The Gunshow packs will be available in KC’s online shop as well as at conventions he goes to in the future.
