Getting employees on board for an inter-office initiative can be a tough job. Everybody’s busy, and there’s only so many times you can get excited about a giant thermometer poster.
Peoples State Bank in Wausau, WI came up with a clever solution. To encourage referrals from employees who don’t interact with customers on a regular basis, they created an interactive board that’s on display in the bank’s main office. To keep track of the team’s progress, Peoples State’s Brad Will recently created a series of numbered 1″ magnets.
To keep people engaged (and entertained), the board’s theme changes each year, and the newest iteration, “License to Sell,” featured a James Bond-inspired image of the bank’s CEO.
Brad said that the new magnets were a, “perfect solution to what we were trying to accomplish. It gives us an easy way to look at the board and know exactly where we are at with our total goal for the year. Simple and effective, plus you get to ring a cowbell when you put your magnet up on the board. ”
Creative uses for magnets? We’ll ring a cowbell to that!
