Ready for the cutest buttons you’ll see all day? Heck, maybe all week? Rocket Baby Bakery in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin has you covered.
The buttons were designed by Doug Cheever (who you may remember from our post about AIGA’s fundraiser for Hamilton Type Museum). Friends of the owners, Doug is often inspired by the owner’s young sons (a.k.a. the “Rocket Baby brothers”) when creating new designs.
For the sled button above on the right, Doug said the boys “constantly transform their environment into a playground for racing, fighting and acting totally crazy. I’m almost positive they’re going to imagine a rocket-propelled sled as their Pops gives them a big push down a snowy hill this winter. BOOM! It’s a button.”
Doug said that the buttons have been a big hit at the bakery since they started making them last spring. “The kids that come into the bakery love these buttons almost as much as they love the chocolate croissants.” Now that’s high praise!
