Have you been watching Ken Burn’s documentary Prohibition? We have and it inspired us to take another look at the Prohibition-era buttons housed in the Busy Beaver Button Museum:
PBS airs the third and final episode of Ken Burn’s documentary Prohibition tonight. The series “tells the story of the rise, rule, and fall of the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the entire era it encompassed.” From what we saw last night, it’s a lot of footage of flappers showing off their hip flasks and tales of bootleggers. It other words, a brief history of Chicago in its heyday.
