Google “Zooey Deschanel” and you’ll find Wolfgnards.com. “Indie Girls Deconstructed”, creator Mark Hing’s ode to hipster hotties and Ms. Deschanel’s bangs, put this nerdy pop culture blog on the proverbial map. While the posts about girls and the nerds who love them get the most comments (another big hit is an article on Danielle Fischel a.k.a. Topanga from Boy Meets World) true fans keep reading the ‘Gnards for Hing’s in-depth look at subjects like Tauntaun cavity survival rates and the net worth of Scrooge McDuck. We just love him for his unhealthy obsession with President Taft.
What superpower would you want? The ability to eat large sandwiches in a single bite.
Favorite Batman actor (film or tv)? You’d like me to say Adam West, but I’m not going to. The definitive Batman is Kevin Conroy from Batman: The Animated Series.
Lois Lane or Lana Lang? What about Wonder Woman? I like a take charge gal who’s good with rope.
Favorite super villain? Bizarro
Favorite superhero flick? Spider-Man 2, you had me at Alfred Molina.
What was the inspiration for your Superhero! button design? Obama and Spider-Man teamed up a couple years back and I always thought Hulk vs. Taft would be a better crossover comic.
Any cool projects in the works right now? I’m pretty busy maintaining Wolf Gnards, what with keeping up with timely articles about Bill Murray in Groundhog Day or which Saved by the Bell character slept with whom, I have very little time for anything else. I’m not sure what’s up next, but it will probably include pie charts, pictures of Natalie Portman, and thinly veiled references to Jonathan Ke Quan (my favorite Goonie).
