Professional Custom Packaging & Retail-Ready Pin and Button Packs with Backer Cards
Backer Cards keep your products perfectly in place against a custom-printed cardstock backer card. This is the go-to choice for integrating your button and pin designs with your packaging for a high-end, retail-ready look. To ensure your finished packs look sharp, please follow these artwork guidelines:

  • Retail-Ready Display: Each finished pack includes a clear poly bag with a built-in hang hole for easy retail shelving.
  • Free Double-Sided Printing: High-quality printing on both the front and back is included. Great for barcodes, QR codes, social handles, or artist bios.
  • Color Accuracy: Submit art in CMYK color (Provide PMS color info in the comments section for specific color matching).
  • High-Resolution Detail: Minimum 300 dpi; line weights should be at least 0.5pt thick.
  • Typography: Ensure all fonts are outlined and 5pt size or above.
  • File Setup: All linked images must be embedded within the file.

What products work best with Backer Cards?

Backer cards are best for pin packs and button packs - or a mix of both!

Due to the way 1” buttons lock, we do not recommend using them with backer cards.

What sizes are available for packaging?

We offer multiple packaging sizes to match different products and quantities. Size availability can vary based on the items you’re packaging, so we recommend checking templates or reaching out for guidance.

Do my Pin and Button Backer Cards come fully assembled?

Yes! Your button and pin packs will arrive fully assembled and ready to go right out of the box!

Do Backer Cards come with hang holes?

Hang holes aren’t standard with backer cards but anything is possible! Have a specific idea in mind? Contact us to discuss your project and get a custom quote.

Are Backer Cards eco-friendly?

Yes. Our cardstock packaging is made from eco-friendly materials and is plastic-free, recyclable and compostable.

Do you offer full color printing?

Yes! All of our backer cards are digitally printed in full color using CMYK. Full-color printing is standard, so your custom packaging for button packs, sticker packs, or enamel pin packaging will be bold, professional-looking, and eye-catching.

Can I print on the front and back of the Backer Card?

Busy Beaver offers free double-sided printing on cardstock inserts, header cards, and backer cards. This gives you extra space for branding, instructions, QR codes, UPC codes, social handles, and other important info!

Does custom packaging affect turnaround time?

Packaging can add extra production time for larger or more complex orders. Most orders under 5k units fit within our standard 5-business-day turnaround. Need it faster? Our team can help you choose the best packaging for your timeline.

Do you offer labeling or barcodes?

We can help with labeling as part of a custom packaging setup. Many customers include UPC codes, QR codes, or other identifiers printed directly on their backer cards. If you need a specific labeling solution, just let us know and we’ll walk through the options with you.

Can I upload my own Backer Card artwork?
