1. The Foodie Button
In 2013 we saw Chef Graham Elliot create a new line of button swag, La Familia Green designed pizza magnets that allowed you to declare your preference: NYC or Chicago style, and we pressed a bevy of bakery buttons and quite a few sausage buttons.
2. The Dog Button
The year that introduced us to George W. Bush’s dog portraits would of course be the year of the dog button! From Best in Show to Beer Paws, the bottle opener that dogs wear, we saw a lot of puppy paraphernalia.
3. The Museum Button
Last year the Art Institute’s Roy Lichtenstein buttons took over Chicago and the museum button trend continued into 2013. We saw Warhol buttons from the Plains Art Museum, new buttons designs from the Whitney, and Busy Beaver’s very own Button Museum was featured in the New Yorker!
4. The Innovative Button
Busy Beaver prides itself on coming up with new, cool ways to use and make buttons and 2013 was no exception! Last year we built the world’s largest button, created scratch off buttons, debuted our new sparkle finish, and partnered with CAKE to make limited edition button mini-comics.
