Each February Busy Beaver celebrates the Golden Button Awards, a week devoted to some of the customers whose buttons have stood out over the past year. Among the 2015 recipients, you’ll find exceptional artwork, creative button projects and an overall appreciation for the pinback as a means of expression. We hope that you’ll find these Golden Button winners as inspiring as we have.
Proudly wearing a button on national TV doesn’t guarantee you a Golden Button Award, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Last fall, Beardbrand‘s Eric Bandholz appeared on Shark Tank, and if you watched closely as he described the growth of his line of beard care products and the growing movement of “beardsman,” there was a glint of something shiny on his right lapel. Look closely and you’ll notice a 1.25″ sparkle button and the unmistakable Beardbrand beard logo.
Though the Sharks didn’t bite on Eric’s pitch, Beardbrand continues to grow in popularity among the urban beardsman looking to keep his whiskers looking sharp. And in growing that movement of well-groomed beards, Beardbrand has also embraced buttons as the perfect way to spread their message past the morning grooming ritual– In addition to scissors and brushes, wax and oil, every Beardsman Kit also includes a 1.25″ Beardbrand button.
The buttons come in a range of special finishes– Beardbrand has been one of the most enthusiastic adopters of new special finishes as we introduce them. Their graphic beard logo makes the perfect canvas for playing around with different effects, from glow to sparkle, metallic to cosmic.
Beardbrand’s Golden Button Award sash reflects the lifestyle of the urban beardsman– one part grooming, one part plaid, a good dose of special finishes, and, of course, 100% awesome.
Thanks to Beardbrand for embracing the buttoned (and bearded) lifestyle!
