The other day we shared some tips for creating diamond buttons, and today we’re highlighting tricks for creating the very best oval buttons out there. Though the oval shape doesn’t work for every design, when used well it makes for interesting, eye-catching buttons that’ll get your message noticed.
1. Wide Artwork
Logos or text that’s longer than it is wide can sometimes look awkward or have to be sized quite small to fit on a round or square button. On a horizontal oval, though, that oblong logo is a perfect match.
2. Tall Artwork
Creating a button with a skyscraper, giraffe or basketball player? Oval buttons give you tall and thin designs the room to stretch.
Got a lot to say? It can be tough to fit entire phrases on a round or square button and have the text large enough to be legible. Ovals give your words a bit more breathing room so that you can say all of what’s on your mind.
