The introduction of our new 2×3″ rectangles has led to countless conversations and brainstorms about all manner of tall and wide things that would fit well on that size. Our favorite idea so far: an epic stacked sandwich. So, to illustrate the particular qualities of the 2×3″ vertical button, we present the Busy Beaver crew’s dream sandwiches. (Warning: you may be inspired to take an early lunch after reading this post.)
Busy Beaver owner Christen’s dream sandwich is a veggie Bahn Mi– a giant combo of all that’s good in the vegetable word: lettuce, tomato, cilantro, radish and carrots, plus some tofu and a little Sriracha. Pretty healthy combo, but lest you think all dream sandwiches would qualify as health food, check out…
A gal can dream, right? Marketing and Customer Experience manager Denise’s dream sandwich engages in every kid’s fantasy– ice cream as far as the eye can see. Four different kinds, in fact, plus sundae toppings and chocolate chip cookies to keep it all together.
Director of Operations Joel went with a sandwich he knows and loves, a Western New York institution, Schwabl’s Beef on Weck. Though the real version is already something you need to see to believe, his dream sandwich takes it even further. More meat!
Art & Pre-Production Coordinator Natalie’s dream sandwich wins the award for specificity: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chips (salt & vinegar ideally) all on a pretzel roll. Actual pretzels can also be substituted if chips are in short supply and you want to double up on the pretzel-y goodness.
Shipping & Pre-Production Coordinator Sam went with the classic Reuben, supersized, for his dream sandwich. Nothing fancy, just good ol’ corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss and thousand island on rye. (Sam was very specific about the rye.)
Perhaps I’m just a kid at heart, but I feel like you can never go wrong with a classic, and a tall stack peanut butter and jelly wins my vote for dream sandwich. Alternate grape and strawberry jelly for added flair.
